Why? I feel like the area that I was in has more money, which could have some sort of thing to it, except the parents had money, so then they could, like, yeah, I don't know. Yeah, so the popular kids definitely partied quite a bit. It coul…

There's so much to do with the sack. I don't know. I don't know. I guess on the weekends, I usually rot when I can when I'm not working. Because it's the only time I actually have to just sit. So that's why I don't want to go out. Yeah, I j…

Papa 9: it like just like last year uh yeah last year last year um i don't know i just kind of just did it and i thought that it was just normal to feel kind of gross afterwards and just yeah it was so normalized but i finally got that point it was the end of last year i was just i just don't i just don't like it it's not for me no so i kind of really pushed through it but yeah just kind of just be like yeah yeah yeah i can go get taco bell after yeah all right is there anything else important on the topic of drinking during college that we have not talked about not talked about yet not that i can think about no yeah i think it's a little strange that it's so normalized yeah um but i guess a lot like back in the day like something used to be such a huge party school like when my parents went here and um i guess i'm going to college to get to a career that i really want and there's a lot of kids though that don't know what they want and i think drinking is just kind of a way of um distracting themselves from that too yeah because a lot of my friends don't know what they want and it's very rare to know what you want and i understand that completely i was very lucky to kind of find my niche very early on yeah um i think college kind of pushed on you a little too early um an 18 year old doesn't know what they want to do for the rest of their life um which i think yeah uh what age uh would you say is the best college age or like the i feel like in your 20s i don't know anywhere in your 20s i feel like you gotta get out of like that high school mindset before a lot of people can really start thinking oh okay i actually need to figure out kind of whatever i do um even if that means just working a little longer i don't know i almost took a gap year but decided not to i'm glad i didn't because i graduated here early so but yeah uh if you were talking to a first year student at cmu what advice would you give to them so that they could avoid getting involved in drinking alcohol if they did not want to drink stick to your guts okay yeah if i would if i could like meet with myself from last year and just kind of be like you don't have to like and if you're with the right people they're not going to shame you against it and if they shame you against it then you're not around the right people and you should leave and find new people which is kind of what i did so um the right people will understand and not push it on you yeah that's great advice uh what do you think cmu and the mount as a community can do to reduce problem drinking among college students um education yeah or education on what it can actually lead to and the bad things that can happen from it especially like sexual assault and that uh sort of line where um especially when girls are going out by themselves. 301s · Speaker 1

it like just like last year uh yeah last year last year um i don't know i just kind of just did it and i thought that it was just normal to feel kind of gross afterwards and just yeah it was so normalized but i finally got that point it was…
